MAGNA-TILES Funds Early Childhood Education Classrooms

In honor of World Teachers’ Day, MAGNA-TILES®, the original brand of magnetic construction toys, is donating $60,000 to help early childhood educators support meaningful play in their classrooms. In addition, they’re gifting each classroom they support with MAGNA-TILES Dino World XL 50-Piece Sets.

MAGNA-TILES is funding PreK and kindergarten classrooms in Connecticut and New Hampshire through AdoptAClassroom.org to help teachers enact new state-mandated play-based learning curriculum.

Classrooms receive a median school supply budget of only $200, so teachers at high-needs schools don’t always have the funds to meet new curriculum demands. As a result, teachers spend an average of $860 out of pocket each school year on supplies for their students.

Through MAGNA-TILES’ World Teachers’ Day donation, classrooms will have the play-based learning materials they need, without teachers having to spend their own money.

“MAGNA-TILES’ donation will be used to enrich social, physical, literacy, math, critical thinking, creative, and cognitive abilities in my students. My ultimate goal is for 100% of the students in my classroom to be prepared for kindergarten and beyond, and MAGNA-TILES’ donation supports that goal.” – Brittany, PreK Teacher

This is MAGNA-TILES’ second year partnering with AdoptAClassroom.org to support early childhood education classrooms. Learn about their support of PreK students in Chicago last year.

MAGNA-TILES is our corporate partner, but their products are also offered through the AdoptAClassroom.org Marketplace for teachers to purchase for their own classrooms. To access the Marketplace, log in
