The start of a new school year is an exciting and busy time for teachers. Before the first student steps foot in the classroom, educators are already hard at work creating a welcoming, educational space for their students. This is often done with teachers’ own out-of-pocket money, as 93% of teachers say that their school’s classroom supply budget doesn’t cover their classrooms’ needs.
To help teachers stock their classrooms for the new school year, we’re randomly selecting 40 teachers registered with AdoptAClassroom.org to receive a $100 classroom donation. To be eligible for this giveaway, teachers must update their classroom page with the hashtag #AACBackToSchool2023 by August 30, 2023.

Step 1: Add “#AACBackToSchool2023” to Your Classroom Page
When you log in to the AdoptAClassroom.org Teacher Dashboard, click “edit classroom page.” Next, add the hashtag “#AACBackToSchool2023” in the “Why We Need Your Help,” “About My Classroom,” or “What We Need” sections of your classroom page so we know you applied for this donation.

Step 2: Update or Create Your Classroom Page
Update the “Why We Need Your Help,” “About My Classroom,” and “What We Need” sections of your AdoptAClassroom.org classroom page so that it reflects what your classroom currently needs.

Step 3: Set Your Classroom Page to Public (Optional)
We encourage teachers to check the “Make My Page Public” box of your classroom page if it is not already public. The benefit of having a public classroom page with AdoptAClassroom.org is that our donors can see your page and make a donation.
It’s especially beneficial to you to have a public page during AdoptAClassroom Week (August 21-25) because we’ll be matching donations that donors make to public AdoptAClassroom.org classroom pages, while funds last on August 22. If you have a private page you can still apply for our grants and spend donations you receive from our sponsors.

Giveaway Rules
HOW TO ENTER:
Classroom Page Giveaway: Teachers must create or update their classroom page with AdoptAClassroom.org to include the hashtag “#AACBackToSchool2023” in the “Why We Need Your Help,” “About My Classroom,” or “What We Need” section of their classroom page.
Social Media Giveaway: Teachers may also enter to win an additional $100 AdoptAClassroom.org donation by making a public post sharing their AdoptAClassroom.org classroom page link on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, or Threads and including the hashtag “#AACBackToSchool2023”. One entry per person, per social media channel.
AGREEMENT TO OFFICIAL RULES:
Participation in the #AACBackToSchool2023 Giveaway constitutes an entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules, which are final and binding. Winning a Prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.
PROMOTION PERIOD:
The Giveaway begins on (8/7/2023) at 12 AM ET and ends on (8/30/2023) at 11:59 PM ET. Entries received before the start time or after the end time will not be considered.
ELIGIBILITY:
Participants must be a PreK-12 teacher at an accredited PreK-12 public, private or charter school and a legal resident of one of the fifty United States or the District of Columbia and at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. Participation is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited by law. Teachers must be registered with AdoptAClassroom.org in compliance of the organization’s website Terms of Use with an active classroom page.
WINNER SELECTION:
Classroom Page Giveaway: A random drawing will be conducted on or about 9/30/2023 from all eligible classroom page entries received to select 40 Potential Winners. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Promotion Period. Potential Winners do not need to be present at the time of the Drawing to accept the Prize.
Social Media Giveaway: A separate random drawing will be conducted on or about 9/30/2023 from all eligible classroom page entries received to select 10 Potential Winners. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Promotion Period. Potential Winners do not need to be present at the time of the Drawing to accept the Prize.
Teachers who win the Classroom Page Giveaway may also be eligible to win the Social Media Giveaway.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE POTENTIAL WINNERS:
AdoptAClassroom.org will notify Potential Winners of our classroom page giveaway by emailing them at the email address they used to register with AdoptAClassroom.org. If a Potential Winner declines to accept the Prize, or if a Potential Winner is disqualified for any reason, AdoptAClassroom.org will select an alternate Potential Winner based on a random drawing among all remaining eligible entries received. A Potential Winner is not a verified winner until eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules has been confirmed.
AdoptAClassroom.org will notify Potential Winners of our social media giveaway by direct messaging the handle which posted the winning comment. If a Potential Winner does not respond by sending a direct message to AdoptAClassroom.org providing their name, email address, and school name within 72 hours of the time the direct message is sent, if a Potential Winner declines to accept the Prize, or if a Potential Winner is disqualified for any reason, AdoptAClassroom.org will select an alternate Potential Winner based on a random drawing among all remaining eligible entries received. A Potential Winner is not a verified winner until eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules has been confirmed.
PRIZES:
For the classroom page giveaway, AdoptAClassroom.org will randomly select 40 Prize winners who will each be awarded one $100 donation to their AdoptAClassroom.org Classroom Page.
For the social media giveaway, AdoptAClassroom.org will randomly select 10 Prize winners who will each be awarded one $100 donation to their AdoptAClassroom.org Classroom Page.
The Prize consists of only the items listed and AdoptAClassroom.org shall not be responsible for any fees, costs, or taxes arising out of or in connection with Winner’s use of Prize. Prize is non-transferable, and no substitution, assignment or refund of a prize is permitted, except by AdoptAClassroom.org, who reserves the right to substitute a prize with another prize of greater or equal value, if a prize is not available for any reason as determined by AdoptAClassroom.org in its sole discretion. Limit one Prize per person.
