To help California students receive an equitable education, CalEdAssist is surprising 100 teachers with a $400 donation through AdoptAClassroom.org to purchase school supplies for their classrooms.

Eighty percent of teachers said that students’ parents are having a harder time paying for school supplies. When students don’t have the supplies they need, the cost of essential materials falls on their teachers.
Teachers at high-needs schools spend an average of $880 out-of-pocket on school supplies each year just so their students have what they need to learn.

CalEdAssist’s generous donation will help 2,500 elementary and middle school students access the classroom supplies they need to learn and succeed in school.
