#StandUp4Teachers: How to Enter for a $100 Classroom Donation

To enter our giveaway, you must have an up-to-date classroom page with AdoptClassroom.org. Check out our tips for writing an effective classroom page and then log in to add #StandUp4Teachers to the “Why We Need Your Help” section of your classroom page.

Don’t have a classroom page on AdoptAClassroom.org yet? Register today and create a classroom page to be eligible to receive donations.

Step 1: Log In and Click Edit Profile Page

Register and/or log in to your classroom page. Then click “Edit Profile Page.”

Step 2: Create or Update Your Classroom Page

Once you are logged in, create or update your classroom page. Make sure to review the following information so that it’s up-to-date:

  • Name
  • Teaching area
  • Grade
  • Fundraising goal
  • School name and address
  • Teacher story section
    • Make sure this section reflects your current classroom needs
    • Remove any outdated giveaway hashtags
    • Not sure what to write? Check out our guide on how to write a compelling classroom page.

You can find a quick video guide to updating your classroom page on our YouTube channel.

Optional Step: Set Your Classroom Page to Public

We encourage teachers to check the “Make My Page Public” box of your classroom page (if it is not already public). The benefit of having a public classroom page with AdoptAClassroom.org is that donors outside your network of friends and family can see your page and make a donation.

Here’s what to look for if you want to make your classroom page public:

If you have a private page you can still enter giveaways, apply for our grants, and spend donations you receive from our sponsors.

If you have questions about public vs. private classroom pages with AdoptAClassroom.org, please contact our teacher services team at [email protected].

Note: AdoptAClassroom.org meets the crowdfunding best practices put in place by the School Superintendents Association and National School Board Association. Read more on our page for schools and districts.

Step 3: Add the hashtag #StandUp4Teachers in the “Why We Need Help” Section of Your Classroom Page

Next, edit the “Why We Need Help” section of your classroom page to include the hashtag #StandUp4Teachers.

Here is a video showing exactly where to click:

Here are some examples of ways you can include the hashtag on your page in a way that makes sense to donors too.

Did you know that teachers spend almost $900 on average out of their own pockets on classroom supplies each year? Teachers, families, and even districts can't always keep up with the ever growing and changing needs of students from within their own budgets. Every student deserves to have the materials they need to learn and reach their potential.
