As we come to the close of another school year, we want to say THANK YOU! AdoptAClassroom.org supporters this year enabled us to provide critical classroom materials to more than 22,000 classrooms across the country. Your generosity came at a time when teachers and students faced unprecedented challenges.
Because of you, many students in high-needs schools did not have to go without essential supplies that their families could not afford to provide. Because of you, many teachers felt relief from the constant pressure to dip into their own wallets to provide for their classrooms.
Many think school ends in the summer, but the reality is that it is when the school year begins. While students head off for their Summer break, many teachers are already planning and preparing for the start of the next school year.
June 30 is the end of AdoptAClassroom.org’s fiscal year. Your gift today will help us finish our fiscal year strong and prepare for the school year.
While we prepare for a new school year, we’re also celebrating everything we’ve accomplished together in the last school year. Here’s a snapshot from a few of the classrooms the AdoptAClassroom.org community supported.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Jordan has seen drastic learning gaps develop between her students. Many teachers told us that the last few years have only exacerbated learning challenges for students with fewer resources at home.
With the support of AdoptAClassroom.org donors, Jordan’s classroom was stocked with everything she needed to run her classroom and meet every student’s needs.
She told us that while the learning gaps are great, her students’ willpower and drive is greater. With your support, they have all the materials they need to make it through the challenges of learning gaps.
Before Rosa’s school received a donation, her students didn’t have any activities to do outside. With the support of the AdoptAClassroom.org community, they were able to purchase recess equipment like ropes, chalk, and outside activities. She also purchased basic supplies, like crayons and markers, which teachers are always running through faster than their budgets allow.
Our community’s generosity powered the reboot of their recess time. Students were thrilled to hear about all the new ways they could play.
Elliot is right. Teachers shouldn’t have to pay to stock their classrooms. And with your support, we are getting closer to a world where every child has what they need to succeed in school.
When his teacher received classroom funding, it told him that his education mattered. Your support shows students that their future is important.
To help students like Elliot, you can make a fiscal year end gift. June 30th is the end of our fiscal year at AdoptAClassroom.org. Your gift today will help us finish the fiscal year strong, and prepare to support teachers like Jordan and Rosa in the new school year ahead. Thank you again for your continued support of our mission to advance equity in education, one classroom at a time. All of us here at AdoptAClassroom.org are grateful for your support!
Can we count on you to pitch in to start the next school year off right?
