Last October, AdoptAClassroom.org opened applications for our Fall 2021 Spotlight Fund classroom grants, which included the STEM Fund, COVID-19 Relief Fund, and Inclusive Classroom Fund.
Through the support of our sponsors and donors, we were able to provide twenty-three $1,000 grants to teachers across the nation. We’re proud to fund these innovative educators and help them access supplies that will engage their students in learning.
AdoptAClassroom.org strives to ensure that all teachers have what they need to support their students. Through our Spotlight Funds, educators apply for grant money to fund special initiatives in their classrooms. While all classroom teachers are encouraged to apply, we prioritize teachers at high-needs, Title I schools to receive these funds.
We’re excited to announce the recipients of our 2021 Fall Spotlight Fund Grants.
Meet one of the fall 2021 classroom grant recipients
Jill, an Elementary school teacher in Louisville, KY, is the recipient of one of AdoptAClassroom.org’s STEM grants. Jill is in charge of the STEM lab at her school, and wants her classroom to be a place where student failure leads to better problem solving skills and higher engagement.
In order to provide her students with opportunities for both failure and success, Jill needed additional STEM supplies. With the $1,000 STEM Fund grant from AdoptAClassroom.org, Jill plans to purchase programmable mice, magnetic building tiles, and STEAM car kits that her students can use to build their skills in every area of STEM.
Teachers like Jill can apply for a Spotlight Fund grant from AdoptAClassroom.org. In order to apply for our next round of grants in the spring, you must be registered on AdoptAClassroom.org. Register here to be notified when Spotlight Funds applications open.
When donors support an AdoptAClassroom.org Spotlight Fund, they’re helping an idea for classroom engagement become a reality for teachers at high-needs schools. Donate to one of our Spotlight Funds here.
