It’s the start of a new year, and many teachers need to restock their classroom essentials. If you have donations in your AdoptAClassroom.org account, now is a great time to start classroom shopping for the second half of the school year.

What To Do After Spending Your Donations

Keep an eye out for funding opportunities. AdoptAClassroom.org will be announcing even more funding opportunities for teachers across the country throughout 2021!

To help ensure you can purchase all of the learning materials your students need, without having to dig into your own pockets, follow these steps:

  1. Post photos of the supplies you purchased to the Updates section of your classroom fundraising page, and leave your donor(s) a thank you message. Learn more about posting to the Updates feed here.
  2. Login and update your classroom fundraising page. Use the “Description” section to describe the classroom essentials you and your students need and why. Read our tips for updating your classroom page here.
  3. Read our new Fundraising Guide for Teachers. It includes crowdfunding tips, downloadable resources, and examples that will help you raise donations.
  4. Refer your teacher friends and colleagues to AdoptAClassroom.org. Doing so will enter both you and the teachers you refer for the chance to receive a $100 donation each if they create a fundraising page. Learn more here.

Can’t order supplies because of COVID-19? We can help.

 

 

 

If your school isn’t accepting deliveries because of COVID-19 related school closures, we can extend the expiration date of your funds, which expire 12 months after you receive them, if you need more time to spend your donations.
