Burlington Stores Helps Nearly 1 Million Students Get the Supplies They Need To Succeed

A BIG shout out to all of Burlington’s amazing associates and generous customers. This back-to-school season, Burlington raised $1.5M+ to help K-12 teachers and their students get the classroom materials they need, wherever learning will take place this school year – virtually or in the classroom.

This is the fourth consecutive year the national off-price retailer raised millions of dollars by inviting their customers to donate when they checked out. With so much uncertainty for teachers, students, and their families this school year, support from Burlington and their customers is more important than ever before.

Faced with significant budget cuts, a lack of distance learning tools, and other challenges brought on by the global pandemic, teachers are now doing even more to help their students. Our recent Teacher Spending Survey found teachers spent an average of $252 out-of-pocket on distance learning supplies this past spring, and many even delivered or mailed items to students’ homes.

With support from Burlington, thousands of teachers will have the flexible funding they need to purchase tools and materials to keep their students engaged in their learning this school year, whether in the classroom or at home.

Thank you Burlington for your continued commitment to support our K-12 teachers nationwide. Your commitment to teachers ensures our nation’s children have the supplies they deserve to learn and succeed, and have a fair and equal opportunity for a good education.

To date, our GOLD Halo Award-winning campaign with Burlington has raised more than $7M, and supported nearly 1M students in 38,838 classrooms (virtual and in-person) nationwide.
