Teacher classroom budgets often don’t allow for technology, yet it is essential to give our children a 21st century education. A study by CompTIA, found that 78 percent of teachers surveyed believe technology has a positive effect on classrooms, and 65 percent said it makes students more productive.
We’re excited to share that we’ve partnered with VISINE® and its #ScreenOn movement to help give AdoptAClassroom.org teachers more access to educational technology. Like all of you, VISINE® understands the important role screens play in our lives and wants to try to help people #ScreenOn without irritation, hesitation or limitation. Here’s how you can help:
Use #ScreenOn on social media to share what technology tools would help your students learn. Or if you want to be a little sillier with it, use #ScreenOn to share what TV show helps you unwind after a long day. For each post/tweet, VISINE® will donate one dollar to AdoptAClassroom.org (minimum of $20,000 and up to $30,000).
Want to get more involved in the conversation? Join VISINE® on Tuesday, October 4 from 9-10 p.m. ET, for a #ScreenOn Twitter Party.
Help AdoptAClassroom.org and VISINE® spread the word about the positive benefits of screens while providing teachers in need with the technology and resources they need to teach.
Want to learn more about how you can put technology in the hands of more teachers and students? Visit our Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Fund to see how you can help.
Between September 26, 2016 and November 1, 2016, Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc., McNeil Consumer Healthcare Division will donate a dollar to AdoptAClassroom.org each time #ScreenOn is used on Twitter for a minimum donation of $20,000 up to a maximum donation of $30,000.
