We wanted to share with you a fantastic story that we came across about a teacher in Brewer, Maine who created an innovative, video-conferencing project called “Chatting Across the USA“. Teacher Cherrie MacInnes set up internet learning sessions with 3rd grade classrooms in all 50 states and connected her students online with just a laptop, webcam, and projector. While the students get to see, hear and interact with students all across the country, they are not only learning about geography, time zones, and regional differences, they are also learning about how to communicate through technology, networking and teamwork skills.
